REGIONAL ALUMNI ASSOCIATIONS

WMU has also supported the formation of several Regional Alumni Associations through the Alumni Office. These associations consist of former WMU graduates residing in specific geographic regions. The importance of Regional Alumni Associations lies in their ability to foster networking and professional growth, organize regional events, and strengthen social connections and mutual support among alumni. List of existing regional alumni associations include:

  1. All African Regional Associations
  2. Latín American alumni Association (LATAMA)

SPONSORS ALUMNI NETWORK

With the valuable support of our sponsors, WMU has developed a thriving Sponsors Alumni Network. This network is composed of individuals who were funded or supported by a specific sponsor, donor, or organization during their studies at WMU. Upon graduation, these individuals join a wider community of former beneficiaries, often with continued links to their original sponsors. Belonging to a Sponsors Alumni Network offers numerous benefits, including sustained connections with sponsors, expanded networking opportunities, personal and professional development, and a strong sense of pride and belonging. List of existing sponsors alumni association include:

  1. Friends of WMU-Sasakawa
  2. Australian Maritime Safety Authority
  3. ITF Seafarers' Trust Alumni Association
  4. Sweden-VietNam Friendship Association
