Gareth is a South African qualified attorney and English solicitor specializing in Maritime Law and risk. Gareth commenced his career at Shepstone & Wylie attorneys in South Africa and thereafter moved to the commecial side by acting as legal counsel for MSC Shipping in Durban. in 2014 Gareth, along with 23 other South African students were sponsored by the South African government to undergo further maritime studies at World Maritime University where he completed his MSc in Maritime Affairs and was awarded the Chancellors medal for academic excellence. Gareth then accepted a position with Skuld as a claims handler, where he is currently employed as Assistant Vice President, Claims. Gareth also spent 4.5 years at an agricultural commodities trading company, namely, ADM Co in Hamburg, Germany in the ship risk management department.
