WMU Graduate Elected Secretary General of PMAWCA

WMU Graduate Michael Luguje of Ghana was elected by the Ports Management Association of West and Central Africa (PMAWCA) as its Secretary General for the next 4 years (2012 - 2016) on 29 June. In his new role, Luguje will work from the headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria, as the Chief Executive of the Association. Membership of PMAWCA includes 22 Port Authorities, stretching from Mauritania to Angola and located in western Africa and along the Atlantic coast. Beginning in 2008, he served as IMO's Regional Coordinator for West and Central Africa (Anglophone). Luguje is a 2004 graduate of the Ports Management specialization and attributes his WMU experience as a key ingredient to his career achievements.
