EPDC Delivered for the Department of Marine Administration, Myanmar

From 4-8 May, WMU delivered an Executive Professional Development Course for the Department of Marine Administration (DMA) Ministry of Transport, in Yangon, Myanmar.  Associate Professor Michael Manuel led the course which was entitled Training Course for Maritime Instructors (Based on IMO Model Course 6.09).

The five-day course was delivered to 25 participants. The contents were based on the requirements of STCW Regulation I/6 – Training and Assessment, and STCW Code A-I/6 – Training and Assessment, with a consideration of the contents of IMO Model Course 6.09. The aim of the course was to increase knowledge in the area of competence training for lecturers involved in the education and training of seafarers.
