Delegation from Panama Visits WMU

On 3 November, WMU welcomed a delegation from the Embassy of Panama to Sweden; Lourdes C. Vallarino, Chargé d’affaires and Sonia Arcia, Consular Affairs Assistant.

The delegation was in Malmö to attend the graduation of three students from Panama on 2 November. During a courtesy call with Professor Neil Bellefontaine, Acting President of WMU, the delegation discussed ways to maintain, and possibly increase the number of students from Panama, as well as the possibilities for Professional Development Courses to be offered in Panama. With this year’s graduation, there are now 27 alumni from Panama. In the Class of 2015, there is one student from Panama, Melissa Danella Barria Villarreal, who is studying Port Management. Her studies are funded by the Sasakawa Fellowship Program.
