The Future of the Maritime Sector in Africa webinar is co-hosted by the World Maritime University (WMU) and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT).
As Africa seeks to leverage the vast potential of its maritime sector, the need for highly skilled professionals, comprehensive research initiatives, strategic collaborations, and the integration of advanced technologies has reached unprecedented levels. In light of this urgent demand, WMU and AASTMT are pleased to jointly host a webinar that will delve into the future trajectory of the maritime sector within the African context.This webinar will address critical themes such as the blue economy and the evolving dynamics of seafaring, which are being reshaped by technological advancements and global trends. It will also demonstrate the vital role of education in cultivating a skilled maritime workforce and the importance of women's contributions to the sector, alongside the development of port infrastructure that is essential for the region's growth.
