Agreement for collaboration between the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the World Maritime University (WMU) to develop a comprehensive training course on Energy Efficient Operation of Ships and to organize a IMO-WMU train-the-trainer workshop on Energy Efficient Operation of Ships with a view to build training capacity in developing countries. WMU has been offering long-standing training courses on marine environmental protection and the new training course to be developed will follow the IMO train-the-trainer format and ultimately be used as the preferred training material to build the global capacity on energy efficient operation of ships.
