World Maritime University
Traditionally, one of the most effective means for the wider transmission of new ideas and knowledge in higher education has been through scholarly publication. This is the principal mechanism whereby universities assemble, store and disseminate the findings of their research. Scholarly publications are also an important mechanism in terms of fulfilling WMU's global responsibilities under our Charter to provide an international focus for networking and collaboration.

WMU Publications has been established as the route for publishing of scholarly books on maritime affairs written by WMU staff and external maritime experts linked to the University.
