As wellbeing and health of seafarers depend on rest capacity during ship operation, this project aims to:

  • Investigate the capacity of the current international regulatory framework to effectively prevent fatigue;
  • Analyse the current recording practices and assess the barriers to implementation;
  • Evaluate the enforcement of the current regulatory regime and consider regulatory improvements.
