Mr. Enrico Gironella received the M.Econ in International Business and Law from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and the M.Sc. in Supply Chain Management from the University of Verona.
He has worked as a Senior Project Officer for accident Investigations at the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) in the Ship Safety Unit. His tasks include the business management of the European Marine Casualty Information Platform (EMCIP), a key tool for reporting and analysing marine accidents, and the provision of underwater surveys through Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV), a new EMSA operational service for Member States’ authorities.
Before joining EMSA, he worked as a Search and Rescue mission coordinator in the Italian Coast Guard, where he also served in port operations, Vessel Traffic Services centres and pollution response services.
