A regional seminar focusing on the development, adoption and review of national maritime transport policies in the Pacific region was held in Suva, Fiji (23 November), ahead of a regional meeting for senior transport officials (24-27 November). The seminar, organized by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the Pacific Community, was delivered by WMU Associate Professor Patrick Donner.

The seminar was a follow-up to a 3-day Workshop on Developing Maritime Transport Policy conducted by Associate Professor Donner in Suva, Fiji from 21-23 October 2015, which was also organized by the Pacific Community and in which IMO TCD Director Nicholaos Charalambous and Maritime Policy Development Officer Jonathan Pace attended as facilitators.
