MoU with RAMST, Côte d'Ivoire

During TCD meetings at IMO in London, a MoU strengthening academic co-operation and collaboration was signed on 11 July between WMU and the Regional Academy of Marine Sciences and Technologies (RAMST) located in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. The agreement calls for several areas of collaboration and exchange including faculty to assist in educational, scientific, and technical programs and national and/or international seminars. Promotion of scientific and technical research for the benefit of the instructors at the two institutions is included in the agreement that also makes way for the exchange of theses/projects on research subjects of an innovative nature. A final area of collaboration is the enrollment of Cote d’Ivoire post-graduate students and faculty in WMU M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs, subject to their meeting academic admission requirements, and pending successful attainment of fellowship awards or availability locally or internationally of sponsorship. The agreement was signed by Mr. Karim COULIBALY, Director General of RAMST and WMU President Björn Kjerfve.
