MoU with Admiral Ushakov Maritime State University, Russia

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Academic Cooperation with Admiral Ushakov Maritime State University (AUMSU) was signed into effect via correspondence on 24 April. Prof. Sergy I. Kondratiev, Rector for AUMSU, signed the five-year Agreement that enables linkages in the field of maritime and marine affairs, broadly defined to include maritime safety, security, and navigational technologies, as well as marine, maritime, environmental, and oceanographic management. The Agreement provides for the possibility of professional development courses to be offered by WMU in Russia as well as academic and information exchange between the institutions including the potential for the exchange of faculty members. Further, the MoU encourages the education of students funded by AUMSU in the WMU M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs.
