Maritime Energy Management PGD

A Collaboration Agreement was signed on 13 February to deliver a Postgraduate Diploma in Maritime Energy Management in cooperation with Lloyd’s Maritime Academy. The 12-month program will be offered by distance learning and was developed by the WMU Maritime Energy Research Group. Promoting sustainable development of the world’s shipping and marine offshore industry, the program equips shipping managers with the knowledge and critical understanding to shape a more efficient and environmentally responsible industry. WMU Associate Professor, Dr. Aykut Ölcer, will serve as the Program Director. The agreement was signed by Jeff Hearn, Managing Director of Lloyd’s Maritime Academy, and Dr. Björn Kjerfve, WMU President. The first intake for the program will be 14 July.
