Delegation from King Abdulaziz University Visits WMU

On 1 June, WMU welcomed Dr. Salim M. Al-Harbi, Dean, Faculty of Maritime Studies and Dr. Saad M.R. Aldousari, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, from King Abdulaziz University (KAU). In follow-up to the Cooperation Program that was established between WMU and KAU in March, the delegation made a visit to WMU to follow-up on possibilities for collaboration and to see the newly inaugurated WMU building.

In March, WMU Acting President, Neil Bellefontaine, visited KAU in Saudi Arabia and signed the academic cooperation program along with KAU Acting President, Professor Abdulrahman O. Al-Youbi. Specific areas of cooperation include research, exchange of faculty members, academic and information exchange, and the potential for WMU to offer short and long term courses in Saudi Arabia. Beginning with the fall of 2015 intake, KAU-FMS will fund at least three students in the Malmö M.Sc. or Ph.D. program.
