Collaboration with Springer Publications

During the May 14 visit of Dr. Brigitte Reschke of Springer publications to Malmö, the first year of the WMU Journal was reviewed and determined to be a success by both parties. Collaboration between Springer and WMU has been ongoing since 2010. The most recent project is a 150-page special edition of the WMU Journal on piracy. Future options were discussed for development of the WMU Journal as well as the arrangements for next year’s text book series to be produced by WMU and Springer on studies in maritime affairs. Books for the series are currently in development and include an update on WMU’s earlier published book “Maritime Administration” by WMU Professor Proshanto Mukherjee. For more information about Springer publications visit www.springer.com
