Henning Jessen

After studying law in Kiel, Germany, and Copenhagen, Denmark, Dr. Jessen received a Law degree from Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel, Germany, in 2002. He then worked as a researcher for one year at the Institute of International Affairs at the Law Faculty of the University of Hamburg. In 2003-2004, he undertook postgraduate studies as a scholar of the German-American Fulbright Commission at Tulane University, New Orleans, receiving the LL.M. degree in Maritime Law & Admiralty. In 2005, he finished his Ph.D.

María Carolina Romero Lares

Dr. Romero received a Law degree from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1995. She initiated her career as a lawyer working for the firm Rodríguez & Mendoza, Abogados and later at the Legal Department of Banco de Venezuela (Bank of Venezuela) in Caracas. She obtained a LL.M. degree from Tulane University, New Orleans, in the U.S. and she continued her education in Germany, where she finished her Ph.D. at Hannover Universität  with honors (cum laude).
