Nigerian Ambassador to Sweden Visits WMU

His Excellency Mr. Benedict Onochie Amobi, Ambassador to Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland, with WMU President Björn Kjerve, WMU staff, and the current Nigerian students at WMU.
13 September His Excellency, Mr. Benedict Onochie Amobi, Ambassador to Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland made a visit to WMU to explore ways for the university and Nigeria to collaborate. The Honorable Chibudom Nwuche, OFR, former Speaker of the House of Representatives for Nigeria, and current Chairman of Global Spectrum Energy Services Ltd., joined the Ambassador on his visit. Current Nigerian students at WMU had the opportunity to meet the distinguished visitors and join them for an informal coffee meeting.

WMU participated in the Maritime Day event held on 16 May in Mariehamn, Åland. WMU was represented by Associate Academic Dean Patrick Donner and Senior Faculty Specialist, Mia Hedin.
During the week of 13-17 May, WMU hosted the second of two workshops entitled Train-the-Trainer Initiative on Energy Efficient Operations of Ships.
