ITL Class of 2015 Graduation, Shanghai

On 22 August, the WMU Class of 2015 International Transport and Logistics (ITL) Graduation Ceremony took place in Shanghai. This year marked the 10th graduation since the programme commenced in 2005 in collaboration with Shanghai Maritime University (SMU). A total of 26 graduates participated in the ceremony together with their families and friends. Twenty-five of the graduates are from China and one is from India.

Dr. Doumbia-Henry, President of WMU, conferred the degrees on the graduates. In attendance were WMU Vice President (International) Dr. Shuo Ma, and from SMU, President Huang Youfang, Chairman of the University Council, Dr. Jin Yongxing, Prof. Shi Xin, the Director of the International Cooperation Department of SMU, Ms Yu Hongrong, and several SMU faculty members who have been involved in the teaching or supervision of the ITL program. Students from the ITL 2016 class also attended the ceremony. Mr. Sanwal received the "Chancellor's Medal for Academic Excellence" Award as well as a “Best Research Paper” award. Additional “Best Research Paper” awards were made to Ms. Tang Xiaye and Mr. Xu Jie.
