Rodolfo Sablich Luna Victoria joined the Peruvian Naval Academy on 22 February 1983 and graduated on 1 January 1988 as an Ensign.
He is specialized in Hydrography and Navigation. In addition, he has followed the Course on Navigation in Antarctic Waters, Basic Staff Course, Command and Staff Course, and Course on Senior Management and National Security.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Pacífico, a Master’s Degree in Hydraulic Engineering, with specialization in Coastal Morphology from the IHE-Netherlands, and the Master’s Degree in National Defense from the Peruvian Center for Higher National Studies.
He worked at different units of the Peruvian Navy and became Commander of B.I.C.“Humboldt” (a scientific research vessel). Likewise, he was Harbor Master of Callao; Defense and Naval Attaché in the Republic of Brazil; and Head of Institutional Policy Department of the General Staff of the Navy.
Moreover, at the Directorate of Hydrography and Navigation, he has held several positions, including Head of Hydrographic Survey Division of the Hydrography Department; Head of Lighthouses Division of the Nautical Signalling Department; Head of Materials and Services Department; Head of Antarctic Affairs Department; Technical Head; Deputy Director of Hydrography and Navigation; and Director of Hydrography and Navigation, and he has participated in five Antarctic Campaigns. He also was Director of Welfare of the Navy; Executive Director of the General Directorate of Captaincies and Coast Guard; Director of Maritime Interests. In 2020, he assumed the position of Deputy Head of General Staff of the Navy.
On 1 January 2021, the government granted him the promotion to the rank of Vice Admiral and he was appointed Director General of Material of the Navy.
On 5 August 2023, he was appointed Director General of Captaincies and Coast Guard, Maritime Authority of Peru.
